I used to be a big collector of sealed and non sealed games, but sold my whole collection last year.

I've got the collector bug again, but this time I'm currently only collecting games that i'll play.

I still mainly buy my games sealed, but open them. The non sealed games are always in as new condition, with no scratches. I wrap the games in protective seals, so the boxes don't get scratched.

Anyway, here's my collection (all bought in 2007)....

That is a very nice sub-collection! It's always nice to see someone who collects a series or group of games which is maybe obscure. Your passion is obviously train sim's! Plus, it's an added bonus that some of these games ar worth a lot of money, especially the ones with the special controllers!

Thanks guys.

Here's the site... densha-de-go.com (just a forum).

I did have a seperate site with videos and images, but I've taken it down while i update it.

From Wikipedia....

Chulip is a quaint adventure game by Punchline.

The goal of the game is to for the player to kiss a girl under a certain tree, allowing you to be together forever. In order to kiss the girl, the player must improve his in-game reputation. Improving the reputation involves kissing other characters in the game. En route to strengthening the character's heart and improving his reputation, the player must also write a killer love letter. When the treasured Love Letter Set is stolen, the player must track the missing pieces.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan myself, a very over rated series.

I only bought it because it was sealed for £8/$16. The Japanese version only appears on Ebay 2-4 times a year, so I couldn't resist buying.

I'm from England. I prefer Japanese games, due to the artwork and obscure games.

Yeah, i must admit i do prefere the japanese artwork on the boxes.

I trouble that i find is that when i look for a specific game i can never seem to find it, e.g. i have been looking for the game - Final Fantasy X-2 Oringinal Sealed But i can't find it anywhere and i'd have thought it'd be quite common still in japan.

Have you tried Yahoo Auctions Japan?

You can't bid unless you live in Japan, but sign up with Rinkya, and they will do the bidding and shipping for you. You just get charged a small fee for their service.

Just enter the Japanese name of the game you're looking for into the search bar. Find the barcode of the game you want, and enter it in google to get a Japanese result. It's really easy to navigate the site, once you know what's what.

Are you sad about selling your sealed collection in the past?
How many sealed games did you have?

Very sad.

I had about 120 sealed games and sealed consoles. My favorites included the Hello Kitty Dreamcast, sealed PAL Shenmue 1 & 2, many PAL snes games, etc..

I had also planned on moving to Tokyo last year to live there for 3 years (via a part time working visa) and sell sealed games as a living (mainly dreamcast and ps2), so that was another reason to sell my collection. I changed my mind a few months later, when i decided I'm quite happy where i am. Sad

I've got 3 games currently in the post, that i'm planning on keeping sealed, so it looks like the habbit is back, but I'll never be able to afford the collection i had with my current income.
