My handful of sealed DS games
Just a few.... 125 by my count. The 'pulled out' ones are the sealed ones.

Re: My handful of sealed DS games
Figured i'd bump this before Xmas.
Current sealed DS count is 155 of 269. It'll go up by a bunch in another 19 days.
I'm working on new pics as well, but its kind of hard showing the sealed ones in the current layout and I don't really want to pull all these out again, as I just sorted them.

Nice DS collection! Just curious why you keep 60% sealed and the rest opened? Why not all sealed.

May as well ask why not all open?
I would take a guess from looking at the sealed titles that PapaStu probably started off opening the games to play, and then perhaps discovered our good old friend R4 (Or something similar), but didn't want to stop collecting. This is exactly the same for me & my GBA collection, where I prefered to play the games via emulation and keep the actual games sealed for prosperity
That is indeed a pretty impressive DS collection! I can't think there's that many games I would want for it though as there's quite a lot of shovelware for the DS. I have almost 50 DS games myself, with perhaps another 20 I would want

Re: My handful of sealed DS games
Well I find myself doing the same thing with my Wii games. I buy everything sealed and only open them if im commited to playing the game (I seldomly play games at all). Thus there are quite a few sealed next-gen games in my collection.

Re: My handful of sealed DS games
I don't pirate. Never have, never will. I went the debugger route when I started to get protos, rather than just mod a system. So no R4/flashcart here.
I do play my DS stuff quite often, but I tend to stick to a game until its beaten ect, or I get real sick of it. I don't mind buying used, and so a chunk have come to me that way, but a lot of the offshoot DS titles I buy tend to be the only copy GameStop gets in, so I get the gutted copy. I don't collect the DS to keep it in a 'sealed' state. I just have this affinity to getting DS games, so it has become a focus of my modern game purchases. It also helps that I buy way more than I can play, so many games will just sit there until I get around to them.
For a while I was going for the real bad shovelware... then I cut off getting any more (which started to just compound at an alarming rate) and now I stick to the good stuff, some specific genres and certain publishers, so say if Natsume releases a game, I get it, good, bad or in-between. I have no desire for a full set, no point, besides the eventual full PlayStation set will always take up more space and I much prefer to pick and choose my battles with the wife, when at all possible.

Re: My handful of sealed DS games
I completely know what you mean regarding the shovelware. At first it was easy to ignore as Nintendo were dominant with their A list titles, and the ratio was quite small, but now it's the other way around where the likes of "I Did It Mum #" outweigh the first party releases
With the DS I practically stick to the good stuff. The first party games, and the few cult games like Final Fantasy etc. Very rarely do I touch the casual EA ilk, and after playing a few ROM's of their games, there is no way I would part with my cash for such crap. I can't honestly believe people pay £30 for such poor quality rubbish.
I find it's pretty easy to distinguish between what's good and what's bargain bin material. I'm proud to own every single DS game I have and there's none I regret buying.
I have also noticed that first party DS game releases are few and far between at the moment, and Nintendo don't seem to have released very much in the last year really. More specifically, their major franchises seem to have been in hibernation for the best part of 2008, so i'm hoping we will get to see some more of them sometime in 2009
