Re: My N64 / SNES sealed collection
Wow, there's some nice stuff in there. Wish I had some of those.
How much did you approx. pay for those?

Re: My N64 / SNES sealed collection
Amazing! Not many people out there collect sealed PAL N64 games, and many who do certainly don't have collections this size!
I see you only have the Player's Choice versions of certain games ~ Are you aiming to one day replace these with the original black label versions? Mario Kart 64 for example can cost quite a lot these days for a sealed black label, whereas a sealed Player's Choice version is a lot cheaper.
Nice to see you have both Zelda's sealed as well as Mario 64. Not a Player's Choice version either, so kudos to you! What? No Banjo Tooie, Super Smash Bros, or Paper Mario, and only one Mario Party???
Nice collection though, and comparable to my own!

Re: My N64 / SNES sealed collection
i'm trying to complete my collection but the prices seem to be going up all the time . i will hopefully replace the current players choice games for 1st editions if i can find them !
i do have banjo tooie !! but still need paper mario and mario party 1+2 .
the most i paid for 1 game is £150 for donkey kong , i also paid £120 for pokemon stadium 2 . you'll probaby all think i'm mad but i probably am !
i'm also starting to collect GC + DS games and as they cost a lot less !!
thanks for all your interest !

Sorry, I must've missed Banjo Tooie. I was looking for a sky-blue colour box, but of course that's just the front, and the spine is black.
£150 for Donkey Kong? Wow! A while ago when I bought mine, there was a guy who had a bulk load from somewhere, and was selling them for as little as £25 each (With Expansion Pak!). Looks like I got a bargain there! ~ He soon realised his mistake and bumped his prices up to above £45.
Pokemon Stadium II I bought from Toys R Us just before the GameCube came out. It was priced at £55, but for some reason the cashier scanned it through and it came out as Pokemon Stadium I which was priced at a tenner... So I got a brand new sealed Pokemon Stadium II for just £10!!! That was probably my best bargain ever, all due to human error!
I know what you mean about N64 games going up in price lately! We have a thread around here somewhere where i've listed a load of the most recent auctions which have finished at stupidly high prices, such as Ocarina Of Time's and Mario 64's

Re: My N64 / SNES sealed collection
i wish i had started collecting n64 games seriously a few years earlier , it would have cost me a fraction of the large sums i seem to be paying !
you should have bought all the guys donkey kong games and all toys r us's pokemon games , you would be worth a fortune now .

At the time I thought nothing of it. Donkey Kong 64 wasn't selling for very much at all, and the going price for most sealed N64 a few years back was only about £30-£60 at the most. Then suddenly Majora's Mask's rose in price, and then Ocarina Of Time's followed, and then Goldeneye and Mario 64's...
Some games can be found pretty cheap. Pokemon Snap's and The New Tetris are quite common and quite cheap. Other "A" List games though seem to be rising and rising. I know sealed Mario Party 1's are very hard to find, and sealed Mario Party 2's are very few and far between ~ Sealed Paper Mario's are exceptionally rare though, so I don't even want to gues show much those are worth. The last I saw on eBay sold for £280+
I've only been collecting sealed N64 games for a few years (Since the GameCube came out), and there never used to be this sort of interest in them before, but now lots of titles have sky-rocketted in price!!!
BTW: I also heard that the Player's Choice version of Mario Kart 64 is actually rarer than the original black label version. I heard that the Player's Choice version was produced in much lower quantities, and is supposedly more sought after by some collector's ~ Plus, some collector's want a complete Player's Choice set, and this is one of the more desireable Player's Choice games out of the few that were released for the N64

Small world hey! I'm afraid I have to take the credit here for inviting both of you here though, so it's not really that much of a coincidence. Lol. Sorry to ruin the illusion guys!
No doubt you will both recognise a few more members over time. I was actually shocked myself when I joined and instantly recognised at least two names I was familiar with already!

Re: My N64 / SNES sealed collection
I have noticed that many copies of Excitebike 64 tend to be sealed differently, with the tear strip being on the right instead of the left as is usually standard. This said, I have also seen some copies which are in fact sealed the correct way. Maybe Nintendo had an error whilst sealing a batch of this title? (Similar to how at least two DS games I have seen have been sealed both vertically and also the standard way)
