my collection continues to grow to this day but some games like the sealed PAL FF VII & FF VIII still remain very elusive and i can't seem to find them anywhere.
Does anyone know where best to look for these besides ebay?

I think the sealed PAL Version of FF7 is very very rar ... Sammelhammel & Co also needs a sealed one ! So if there is ever a sealed version on ebay with a "buy it now" option get it as fast as you can !

Marvellous! I too collect Final Fantasy games as well, but don't go as far as collecting pre-PlayStation games or Japanese versions (With the exception of the WonderSwan) ~ Much of my Final Fantasy collection is sealed, although about 25% is unsealed. It doesn't even compare in scale to your colection though!

It's alway's nice to meet another Final Fantasy Collector,

I don't see any WonderSwan games included in your list... I have the Limited Edition Final Fantasy II WonderSwan Color console and game, but it's not sealed in any way, despite being brand new.

I also don't believe I can see the American Final Fantasy XI Online which comes with the official PlayStation 2 hard drive. Again, I have this new, but it's not sealed (The hard drive is still sealed inside it's foil though, and the actual game is still sealed in cellophane)

I also have two factory sealed PAL copies of Final Fantasy X (Black label)


If I was as serious of a collector as you, I would also try and get hold of the Greatest Hits / Platinum versions of the PlayStation and PS2 games too. Some of the PS2 games have two variations of the Platinum version as well (One old design and one new design)


Did Square release Millennium editions of any Final Fantasy games in Japan? I know there are a few versions of FFVII including the original release and an International rerelease version. I lost track of the Japanese releases

Y-fold or not, the FF7 original goes for alot. the last time i saw one of those it went for nearly $400 i think. maybe more, i didnt watch it when it ended. it is probably my dream game to have sealed.

if you are looking to sell this game, do it when the remake is announced. i'd say you'll get about $700 if not, alot more ($1000+).

I saw one go away for 650 US$ a while ago...

I havn't got any wondercolour games as i've never rearlly bothered with them however i may expand to the wondercolour games once i cannot find any other rare games to add to my collection =)

Also the american final fantasy XI pack well... i've recently one one on ebay though it hasn't arrived yet, as with yourself i don't believe it is sealed but i got it for a good price without having to import it so i can't complain, i may go after a sealed one from america at a later date.

Also like with the wondercolour games i might expang my games collection to include the platinum and greatest hits versions once i cannot find any other rare games to add to my collection

Hi, i have the sealed FFXII ps2 console but that's about all i'm too bothered about, i don't rearlly have the funds for games and hardware and there seems to be a lot of it coming out recently (there are 3-4 dsconsoles that i know of).

All in all it will cost too much

Yeah, you've rearlly got to have mega bucks to collect sealed hardware, and also a lot of space and a damn good insurance policy... you never know

there are only a few people that'll pay so much more than what they sell it originally. the japanese limited edition consoles are way too expensive to even start collecting. for nostalgia and kicks? i say go for it! but for profit, i'd suggest sticking to sealed game collecting.

yeah you need a lot of money to buy all the expensive hardware sealed stuff ...
and you are right phear3d ! I do not know many systems which having a high value now...
