Sealed collecting formula
I wanted to make this post to see how many different ways people think about sealed collecting. We all have different ways of collecting and different preferences on how and what we collect. What is your formula for collecting?

Re: Sealed collecting formula
maybe you give us an example on your formula ...
I think its nostalgia, collecting interest, to have something that others do not have, video game interest and art ...
as a result of all points I prefer to collect playstation games ...

Re: Sealed collecting formula
I think anything Nintendo is very collectable sealed. I have found that my niche is collecting sealed hardware, it tends to keep it's value and in some cases sky rockets in value. When I set out to collect games I generally look around and see whats getting rare, I don't wait for something to sky rocket so that I have to pay outrageous amounts for it. I know there are some game companies that always have games that become collectors for example Squaer Enix but I have not gotten that part of the formula down yet. I like to collect when the games are still at retail level, I see nothing wrong with that.

Re: Sealed collecting formula
Well i only buy sealed games which i loved a lot in the past and still love now. I don't buy them for resale purposes or as an investment of any kind. I just buy what i love The Sega stuff cause i lived with it when i was a child.
Re: Sealed collecting formula
I agree with Dark Sol. Everything I buy is somethingI personally love and think is great, which explains some obscure items. However, popular games are usually popular because they are great, so there tends to be much overlap in what the world percieves as good and what is actually good.

Nintendo for life! Nothing beats a proper, genuine, Nintendo-tearstrip  (especially on rare stuff )

hehe.. i guess we gotta open "every shit with red strip owns!" club. lol. just joke
Re: Sealed collecting formula
I'm the same...I only buy the games that I grew with as a kid. Problem with that is that I tended to like the popular ones...FF, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, etc...I'm a huge RPG freak, obviously.
