Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
I guess he started seeing all the $60 offers and decided to end the auction early.

Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
Is the seller a member of this forum? I think so. It looks like he listened to my advice and relisted a mint copy instead:

Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
maybe not. But this is a clever thing to do. I mean... when you have tonns of sealed games who bother and not let one flow as an auction? It will only attract more attention.
Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
The problem is, everybody who has any sense knows that he has more than one copy available, even if he hasn't flooded the market with all six copies. Everybody also knows he only paid $60 for them, so this means many people will try and haggle him down to sell at a lower price, such as $120 maybe.
Either, he'll sell these under a different user ID, or he'll settle for a much lower price. I also think that attaempting to sell them within days of buying a case of them probably doesn't help matters, especially with the amount of coverage the sales have attracted recently.
Personally I would've held onto them for a while until such time there was a gap in the market to off load one or two. As soon as potential buyers realise that there's more than a couple of copies available, they won't be as weilling to bid so high as they would rather wait for the next auction

Not really. I'll bet you $10 that Lunar II that DS won was resealed by the store (looks like an EB pricetag). It shouldn't have those holes in front.

I don't think so though.
Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
I am 99% sure that is not factory wrap. You don't get those holes in the factory wrap.

Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
Actually you may have this holes in factory wrap. Not much of them i guess. But I have a big hole in my Shining Force CD. Just on the front. And it came from factory. Same for some master system games. They have some holes.rarebucky wrote:I am 99% sure that is not factory wrap. You don't get those holes in the factory wrap.
Re: EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award
Just the fact that it came from EBGames means it was probably resealed.

Actually that is EB's old pricetag. It didn't say EB on it at the time.
