Let me translate it,babelfish sucks.
I like to answer at people (jealous and greedy, mostly) who think they can do everything they want.
you don't need to be very smart to understand that NOT everybody speaks english or seeing i'm mainly interested in japanese stuff (exception for SMS, i do have the European fullset as well)
(since not everybody speaks french here it wouldn't be that difficult to get that not everybody speaks english either
By the way, who's the singer you were talking about 2 days ago?

Yes, I do dare to say such a person does not exist:
- Rich
- Alone
- Loves sealed games
- Collects Expensive sealed NTSC-U games but doesn't speak english or even live in that region. I'm just putting the facts, mais s'il vous plait lit ça pour vous meme, et dis-moi si vous le croyerais si vous etais moi.
And of course I meant NTSC-U, I'm sorry I don't put the U on the end of it I'm pretty sure EVERYBODY knows that I meant NTSC-U But if it's too difficult to understand for you I will put the stupid U every single time.
P.S. NOBODY says NTSC-J if I wanted to refer to Japanese games I would put JAP like everyone else.
And why do you have to respond to every post with anger? You are in a fight with everyone it seems for no reason.
Also why would I be "jealous" of your collection? I don't care about JAP or PAL at all. Show me NTSC-U collection maybe I will be jealous.

Re: NEW and interesting SEALED stuff you spotted on ebay post here! (part2)
I agree people use the world "jealous" way too much, and it's honestly a lazy retort. All reasons exist, I find it hard for someone to get jealous about anything that is mass produced. Games are great, but so are comics, figures, cars, art, hardware, makeshift time machines, one night stands. There's a niche everywhere, anything and everything is collectable. Rare is so subjective, that I honestly find it hard that anyone and everyone could be jealous of something so specific.
Sometimes people are asses just cause they're asses, jealousy aside :P

It is nobodys right to criticize others collecting habits wheter you like it or not. Those people with jealous and crude smirks should keep them to theirselves.

BACK TO THE TOPIC PEOPLE!
I am not sure if we have any jealous people here at all, sarcastic - maybe. But not jealous. Jealous are usually those who have nothing, yet they say sh*t about those who have everything.

Then you're a real moron. And your french sucks.
Many french collectors know him personally,if you live in Paris.
His first name is Emmanuel,he's an accountant working for the Hermes Polo Club in Chantilly.
Ask Maxxi Games in Paris, Boulevard Voltaire, the owner of the shop knows him personally, and you can see him every week there. He's real,as real as your greed&jealousy are.
He's not rich,he's an accountant, not Donald Trump.
He probably makes good money, like $4000/month maybe, but the thing is that he spends pratically all his money into his hobby. He has no wife and no kids, and gets 40 this year. No car either. He doesn't own his home,he still rents AFAIK.
You do not deserve to get pics of his collection, you REALLY don't. Others maybe, not you. But IF, like other people stamlking auctions here, you checked all my winnings for 5 years, you'd get a clue of what he got.
Just remember the Nintendo Of Canada auctions some months ago, he won like 6 lots, for a total of $11000,just in ONE WEEK. That'd give you an idea of what he could get in 5 years.
And he began to do the same with PAL stuff, like winning for 800€ a factory sealed Vampire's Kiss.
He has too like 4 cases of 12 Zelda OoT Pal Factory Sealed he bought back in 1998.
I remember winning him 5 CT,but too 3 MMX2,3 FF III, 2 FF2 (they were like $400 back in 2004), many SM All Stars, SMK, Lufia 1,2, BoF 1,2,etc..
Ask Maximus_clean how many games he bought, how many thousands of $$ i paid for him.
I'd say in the last 4 years i won from him a MINIMUM of $60K on Ebay.
I answered with anger, because your post WAS TALKING ABOUT ME, nothing else. I wouldn't post about it otherwise, just because you answered for me,when i'm a MEMBER OF THIS FORUM. I can answer myself, thank you. your attitiude is just plainly gross. There is no need to be condescendant (if that english word exists, otherwise, get a translator).
And you were just telling a plain & stupid lie, so i had to correct it. I hate liars&bullshitters saying nothing but crap about others, before even questionning themselves.Let me quote you:
"but he buys them for his rich, single, lonely, so-called "friend" "
WHO are you to use words "so-called"? You're nobody. You are NO ONE, not being able to question my friendship with him, nor his existence.
And i'm doing EXACTLY the same thing for another friend, about PC Engine stuff on Yahoo Auctions. His name is Thibaut, but he speaks english a little, and post on forums like Assembler. You could go there, check if it's REAL or not.
I'm guessing you wouldn't be nice enough for anyone to win & pay $60K stuff in 5 years, not WINNING A CENT. Well i am. That is what is friendship. You're probably too greedy and selfish to realize it.
PS: By the way, JAP is a pejorative term,JPN is correct.
Just check Ebay, they do write NTSC J when you have to choose which "format" you want your game listed. That's probably too hard for you to understand.
Check too ANY Playstation game (there's a few titles, like 10000)..every title has "NTSC J" written on the upper left corner of the game. EVERY institution says NTSC J.
Welcome into the real world.

I really liked your post Adol! Bravo!
Only one thing is strange to me. Why Emmanual cannot buy all that stuff himself?
As for me i also bought A LOT OF stuff for my russian friends several years ago. But now they know how to do it themselves. And they are pretty happy and self-confident now. They get there own experience. Buying for someone else is a big hassle actually. Buying, paying, getting money, resending. And so on. Why Emmanual cannot try it himself?

Already answered upper: he does NOT speak english!
He cannot understand well the description of the games, just yesterday he calle me,wanted to bid on a $400 FF2..that he believed to be factory sealed!
Anbd unfortunately,he didn't understand the description where it says it has been "carefully opened on one side".
Without me,he'd make mistakes, not understanding well descriptions, not being able then to talk with the seller, asking him to protect the game well, asking if he has any other games for sale,etc..

Re: NEW and interesting SEALED stuff you spotted on ebay post here! (part2)
And does he read english text? Can he understand english games??? That is so weird. A person who don't underStand english at all, buys heavily loaded rpg games?!?
WHy he's buying them anyway?? That's sounds very weird to me.
For example even though i am russian i have some advanced english skills, and i've been like this since childhood, playing games totally in english.
And those who don't know a word in english simply play localized russian versions.

Re: NEW and interesting SEALED stuff you spotted on ebay post here! (part2)
He reads English text, but doesn't understand much of it. even the word "carefully", he didn't know what it meant.
You don't have much to understand english in a Mario Kart or a Captain Commando game, you know.
He collect those games because those ones are the ones he played in the 90s..Lots of titles were never released in Europe, as well as EVEN moire titles never came out outside of Japan.
It seems we're probably more open minded about games written in other language than ours, than other ppl.
Perrsonally,i played japanese games from 10, just because i would NEVER be able to play those games in France, because there will NEVER be released! PC engine games, MD/SFC games, 50% of them never came out in Europe. So i discovered import back at the time, and i wanted to learn japanese to understand RPGs.
If you were in position of your friend, but DEEPLY want to play a game that NEVER WAS localized in Russian, who would they do?
I told him to learn english for years, but he's lazy,probably..

Re: NEW and interesting SEALED stuff you spotted on ebay post here! (part2)
Wonder how he played it in 90s while he can't understand them nowadays. hehe..
I see. Then Emmanual is a very nostalgic person. I know such kind. There are many such people here among russian collectors who are at their 40s but still buy and play insane amount of imports (damn, me among the first lines!). Some of these people finished Phantasy Star in fully japanese back in the days, not knowing a word. These are true hardcore game lovers. I like such devotion.
I can't only get why he buys many copies of each game (especially when he can't understand even one). Maybe he sees it as an investement he wants to do. Well that's not bad if he's such a devoted fan.
But i don't see him as a collector of any kind. I guess he's just a very nostalgic person who does not know where else to invest cash.

Re: NEW and interesting SEALED stuff you spotted on ebay post here! (part2)
I did exactly the same.I finished Far East of Eden 2 PC Engine in 1992, at 12,not understanding Japanese. When you've finished what was considered the hardest/biggest RPG of all times back at the time, without understanding japanese, you were ready to do any RPG!
Later,i learnt japanse, but Tengai 2 was one of my best memories anyway...even witout understanding the language you could guess what is happening.
He doesn't see those games it as an investment, since he never sells anything. He's a collector,a factory sealed game collector, and he collects what he LIKES. He liked Nintendo 8/16/64 games, and he collects them.He doesn't care about SNK,Nec,Sega,Sony,Microsoft, just that. And mainly SNES, barely N64 or NES,even if he collects some titles (i remember winning for him 2-3 Zelda OoT US NTSC Collectors Edition though, or Zelda 1&2,Metroid NES Factory sealed as well)

my question is: who fucking cares if he speaks english or not ???
I mean, he is buying factory sealed games, FACTORY SEALED games ! it's not like it was important for him to be able to read ingame texts when he is not going to unseal the games !
Moreover, as you stated, you don't need to understand an rpg to play it (even if it's better... lol)

Why would any one care if someones pays a lot for several copies and some not? Just leave it be.
I mean that everyone collects for their own sake... everyone has their own taste, desire, ambition etc.

Well and what of sealed games? We all buy games because we've played/play them actually! Understood them, liked them. Isn't that important?
Buying sealed what-ev-er just because it's sealed - is nonsense.
