you must have been over my house lately while I've not been home. from 1997 through 2004 (when I was authoring strategy guides), I was buying up just about every new release (jp) with the intent that if I got lucky and worked on the guide, I would have resource materials. fast forward to today, and I'm still picking up 2-3 copies (both us and jp) of just about every major release and quickly running out of room.
however, you're absolutely correct that without having a "proper" way to display the treasures, it's sort of like that government facility at the end of raiders of the lost ark with everything all boxed away.

Adol wrote:Right, and i think personally $305 for Doomsday Warrior is crazy!pooch wrote:Adol said that he is bidding for one of his friends who would pay insane amounts for SNES games he likes.
But CONDITION is everything to him
I proposed him the same game, factory sealed, for $40, and he didn't want it because there was some scuffs on seal...
But I got for him Batman Returns for quite cheap actually yesterday!
did you buy all this stuff without any extra fees? Or does he pay a little extra amount for your service?
Re: Big ebay sealed auctions ...

BIN $9,999
Great US Turbo collection, although PCE is still king with a much larger library of games and much, much better cover artwork. I think that Magical Chase sealed was the one that was sold by Multimods site owner a few years ago (although I can't confirm). That would probably fetch $700-$800 alone!!!
Such a shame that NEC failed to market the PCE (*cough* tg16) properly in the US.

i would think that anyone even close to buying these are probably execs of a big corporation who have no need for money or just some serious collector who has enough green to burn.j.m.ratkos wrote:

And this is exactly how things are stored in my spare room at the moment. A) To keep them safe from harm, and B) Because I really don't have much room and it's the most efficient way to store them at the moment

actually, this is how things are stored in my bedroom, 2nd bedroom, 3rd bedroom, portions of the living room and my entire basement.
however, my boxes are just plain cardboard and not the cool wooden crates like in raiders.

Pictures in the auctions seems to be taken in different places.
I'd check closer before bidding.
